I visited John in the nursing home last year.  That is not the way I wanted to remember him.

NQ and BU plus best man at his wedding were much better memories.

So sorry to hear of John's passing.  I've known him and Corinne since eight grade.  We came close to reconnecting before Corinne's passing in Bar Harbor where my wife and I live and work, but sadly did not get together then and communicated via email instead.  Good to know Bar Harbor was one of their favorite places to visit.  We love it here and glad they did too.  So in a way, we did connect again.  Seems the older I get, the more surprised I am to hear of my classmates passing.  Probably because in my memories we're still young and full of ambition to go out and conquer the world.  That's what John and Corinne did with enthusiasm, determination, and great success.  My sincere condolences to their family - Pete Bono.
