Thank You

Hi,

We’ve patted ourselves on the back, and you’ve patted us on the back.  All in all, we had a great time putting this weekend together, and we’re happy you enjoyed it.  Pats on the back to you all for helping us to make the reunion so successful.  And thank you to all the classmates who came from far away and out of state; your efforts to be with us were appreciated.

It was great seeing everyone, reminiscing about high school and catching up on our lives since then and now; even if we didn’t get a chance or a lot of time to talk with some of you.

Friday night was a great time, and Saturday, too.  Thanks so much, Linda, for putting the tour of North together.  And thanks to the music director and students who provided a wonderful selection of music from the 60’s, and to the faculty and students who were our tour guides.  It was interesting seeing North so transformed.  (Fun riding a school bus, especially for many of us who never did.)

Paula, thanks so much for making all the site arrangements, coordinating the activities and collecting and allocating the money.  Yours was truly the most frustrating and challenging responsibility of all.  (I’ll miss your daily phone calls over the past month or so.)

Thanks to Sandy and Dennis for putting together the video presentation.  It was great seeing all those fantastic pictures!  Also for suggesting and getting our souvenir pens and the candy centerpieces.

And to all the committee members who spent countless hours tracking down and contacting classmates.

Thanks also to the decorating committee (and Gerry Mercier) for making the reception hall look so beautiful.

And of course, thank you, Frank, for the entertainment.  Everyone enjoyed Paco (Fonzy’s cousin).  You did a fantastic job, and we appreciate your participation in the reunion.  It was great to see your talent in action.

The farewell breakfast was wonderful.  Sad to say goodbye!    I don’t know what the future will bring in regard to another get together; right now we just need to digest this one and take a breather.  But, we do hope we see each other again before too much more time has passed.

Sorry we missed so many classmates who were unable to join us.  We hope you’ll join us next time!

And, thanks to the generous donations of classmates, we’ll be able to maintain the website for at least 5 more years, and make a contribution to North for a scholarship fund.

The site was very challenging, but I really enjoyed doing it and learned so much.  Thanks so much for all your generous comments about the site.  I must say I owe my husband, Dave, a special thanks for putting up with me ignoring him for the past 11 months.  He’s was very patient and understanding.

Photos of the reunion and events will be forthcoming; most likely from Sandy, but don’t hesitate to share your photos (or memories) with us on your profile or sending photos to us to post.  (In the meantime, check out our 50th Class Reunion and Reunion Committee pictures.)

In conclusion, help us out by contributing to the site with messages, photos, comments and suggestions about what you’d like to see on the site.  Also, contacting classmates and encouraging them to join us.  Maybe we can get another 100 classmates to join.  This site has been a wonderful tool to renew friendships.

Finally, thank you, thank you, and thank you!
