I remember all the way back to when Alantic Junior just opened. A young man one day brought his gituar to school, I believe his first name was Ken, he sang the song "Donna" to Donna Barlow. Although I was not close to either one, that memory, the look on Donna's face, Ken's voice is like a permanent picture / video impressed on my memory. Does any one else remember any thing about that day?

Charles-

I CLEARLY remember Kenny Emerald singing to Donna. And to this day, I wonder what became of him. Here's a stretch-I know for a fact that he moved to Southern California to pursue a recording career.

Donna was a wonderful woman with a great voice, and she was always gracious. Sad to hear of her death.

I remember being in Junior Choir at Wollaston Congregational Church with Donna.  She had such a lovely voice and was so beautiful and popular.  Every spring we performed a special end-of-the-year concert with the Senior Choir.  One year we did a Minstrel Show with many of the Senior Choir men performing in black face--very politically incorrect today.  Another year we did a Hawaiian theme concert.  Donna was given the female lead and danced the hula, as well as sang duets with one of the older guys.  She did a lovely job.   I remember her as being very beautiful, classy and sophisticated.  I am so saddened to hear of her death...far too soon.  Bless her on her heavenly journey.

Donna lived a few doors down from me and we would often go for walks together at night, I have not thought about her since school but when I saw her name it bothered me, I felt I had lost somthing that I didn't realize was very  important to me.  I have been carrying this hollow feeling around with me since.

God Bless you Donna

Bill

Donna lived across the street from me on Harriet Ave.   Our mothers were close, especially after our fathers passed away.  And then, when our mothers became ill, I would see Donna when we each visited.  Donna and I would chat and she told me about her own serious health issues.  She was always upbeat, smiling and laughing at the adversities she had to deal with.  That is how I will remember Donna, her amazing personality.

Hi, Rosemary . . . Well, I hate to admit it but I was in that Hawaiian show at the Wollaston Congregational Church as a hula dancer (gulp), and I remember admiring Donna so much . . . she was poised, talented and sophisticated much beyond her age.  I was so sad to hear of her passing . . . .
