Russell Michael D'Angelo Jr., aged 67, of Flanders, New Jersey, formerly of Quincy and Scituate, Mass., died from a lengthy illness on August 18, 2013.  He was comforted by his wife of 16 years, Beth Worley.

Born April 17, 1946, to Russell and Mae D’Angelo, he was the older brother to Richard and the late Donnamae Roby.

A graduate of North Quincy High School and the Franklin Institute of Boston, Russell worked most of his life in energy plant design.  The dedication he showed to his craft while at companies such as Badger Engineering and United Engineers and Constructors made him an expert in his field.  His mastery of piping design also gave him the opportunity to teach across the world.  His unique ability to relate to his students using humor and practical advice made him an engaging and popular teacher.

An amazing storyteller, jokester, and all-around social butterfly, he was always the life of the party.  Never missing an opportunity to entertain an audience – wherever he was, laughter was surely the sound-track.

Growing up sailing on Quincy Bay, he developed an indelible love for the ocean.  His hobbies and interests ranged from traveling, music, motorcycles and photography.  He was always willing to donate his time and resources without hesitation.

Along with his wife Beth and his brother Richard, he is survived by his father Russell M. D’Angelo Sr., his two sons Michael and Craig, two nephews Lee and Eric Roby and two granddaughters Rowan and Mikayla.

A memorial graveside service was held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, New Jersey.
