I am sorry to hear John (Jack) Lavery has passed on. I have GREAT MEMORIES of us playing basketball at Parker Elementary School (North Quincy) every fall and winter. There was myself 6'4", 150 pds soaking wet, Jack at close to the same height and Al Bartoloni another six footer. I was quick and could jump (yes I could dunk the ball), Jack was a greater shooter and Al was a powerful rebounder. Robert Lamb (deceased) would also join us. If I remember correctly there was even an AL JOHNSON at some of our games. If it snowed we would grab our shovels, clean off the court and play no matter how cold it was or late it got. I'm telling you the North Basketball team could even been greater if they had the three of us in the front line.
Does anyone know where AL Bartoloni is?

Al visited Jack in California on multiple occasions. He enjoyed those visits very much. Jack's nephew, Rick, was a regular in my son Evan's crew when they went to NQHS in the early 90's. So was George and Linda Gale's son,Greg. Al has remained in Quincy. He was living in Snug Harbor until a few years ago and more recently was living on Hancock Street by Hannon tire.He enjoys talking NQHS very much and can frequently be found walking between the Downs and Wollaston Center. As to the front line on the basketball team, I take umbrage.
