Diane T Mulcahy (Malmgren)
Jay was a friend of my husband, Dave, along with Paul Truby (both 1962 graduates of North) and Jack Walsh (1963). He lived on Lincoln Avenue in Wollaston, and had a younger brother, George, and at least one older sister, Alice.
When Jay got married, we got together at their apartment, went out on “double dates” and took weekend trips together. After he and his wife split up, Jay “hung out” at our house.
Jay moved to Marietta, Georgia, for a job with an electronics company, and remarried. He died suddenly of a heart attack when he was in his early 50’s.
I recall Jay as a laid-back guy, who always had an enigmatic smile.
He served in the U. S. Coast Guard Reserves.
