Joe Zona went to heaven at 7:20am this morning in the arms of his daughter, son and wife in Chicago.
The folks from Unity At Home Hospice said they had never seen anyone quietly fight to continue breathing as long and determinedly.
It's my understanding any services will be private with just the family.

I have a lot of memories of Joe in our early years and also running into him years later at the Willard st. coffee shop before we went to work. He always had time to reminisce... We will miss him.
