From the Quincy Sun:
The basketball court at North Quincy High School was dedicated in memory of former Red Raiders' boys basketball coach Robert "Knobby" Nolan on Friday, December 19, 2014.
The dedication was held prior to the Red Raiders' boys basketball opener.
Nolan coached 11 seasons at North Quincy, compiling a 143-66 record, including seven tournament appearances and five league championships.
The naming of the gym floor in Nolan's honor was proposed by current School Committeeman Paul Bregoli, who played for Nolan's first varsity hoop team at North in 1965-66. That team won the Greater Boston League championship, and was ranked #1 in New England.
