A funeral service for Agnes E. Berry, 86, of Springfield, formerly of Quincy, a retired teacher and professional guidance counselor for many years at North Quincy High School, was held December 31.  Miss Berry died December 27, 1989, at Bay State Medical Center.

She retired in 1973, and later worked as an assistant to the research manager of the Department of Pupil Personnel Services in Quincy.

Born in Springfield, she lived in Quincy for many years before moving to East Longmeadow three years ago.

She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and Framingham State College.  She also attended Boston University, Cornell University, Vassar College, Rhode Island State College and the National Training Laboratories.

She is survived by four nieces and a nephew.

Burial was in Springfield Cemetery.
