Paul F. Stanton (Teacher)

Paul S. Stanton, 83, of Milton and Marshfield, born and raised in Neponset, died March 5, 2011.

Beloved husband of Denise T. (O’Leary).  Devoted father of Andrea, Michele and Matthew, all of Milton; Paul Keith of Charlestown, Robert of SC, and Anthony of Westwood, and the late Mark Stanton.  Grandfather of 8.  Survived by Sister Helen Cox of PA and predeceased by siblings Richard, Dorothy Donahue, Robert, Edward, Gertrude Bird and John.  Devoted brother-in-law of the late George and Carole Kenneally.

A WWII Navy vet, Paul served on the USS Tarawa.   Teacher and coach at North Quincy High School for 34 years.  Owner/broker for Paul S. Stanton realty for 50+ years in Dorchester.  Intramural Boxing Champ for BC Class of ’52.

Eternally young at heart and an avid competitive sportsman, “Pepper” could always be found playing his games – racquetball with the Thursday Knights, baseball Friday nights with the same friends for 25+ years, and golf on the weekends well into his late 70’s.  He never stopped and continually sought adventure.

During his youth he was a soloist at St. Ann’s choir in Neponset, which led to many solos at the Café de Paris and many local hotspots near the beach during summers in Marshfield.  Pepper and ‘Ole Blue Eyes are singing a duet in heaven today…

Funeral Mass was at St. Agatha’s Church in Milton.
